WE TAKE YOU THROUGH THE STEPS TO DRAFT A FULLY LINED TAILORED JACKET
In this course, you will learn:
- How to draft tailored collar and lapels- explore multiple options, draft the entire jacket pattern using amazing jkt blocks available in sizes 6-22/ XS-2XL
- Identify & work with the break line, the jet pocket and flap, the back vent, facings and internal pockets
- Construct a proper tailored lining using industry techniques.
- The two-piece sleeve; the shoulder pad, easing, sleeve heading.
- Fusing, how to use it, what type, where and how to apply it to the garment
In class, you will learn various techniques for drafting and creating the perfect jacket pattern. These techniques are based on industry standard blocks and will be demonstrated through pattern exercises, sewing samplers, and calico toiles. Select your desired size to begin the process.
We provide you with:
- The tailored jacket block- MALE, FEMALE, GENDER NEUTRAL
- Pattern making paper & rulers for all class exercise
- Fully constructed jacket samples to show the process and journey, including small samplers to illustrate pattern making into sewing in areas such as jet pockets, shoulder pads and sleeve heading, back vents and lining.
⚧ - These workshops acknowledge & facilitate pattern making for all genders, including trans, neutral and non-binary.
Please bring with you, if you have them:
Thread clippers/ small scissors, pens, pencils, eraser, notebook, small ruler, pins
