Our new sewing course takes you through every step involved in constructing the Tailored Jacket supported by expert craftspeople.
IN THIS COURSE YOU WILL LEARN:
- Correct sewing steps and pressing of the tailored jacket
- Constructing the under and top tailored collars.
- Sewing the jet pocket and constructing the internal pocket bag.
- Constructing the lining and facings & attaching this to the outer shell of the jacket.
- Easing in the perfect tailored sleeve
- Hand sewing preparation for successful pressing
- Attaching the shoulder pad and sleeve head roll
- Step by step methods on constructing the jacket back vent & lining
- Completion of fully lined jacket
- A strong understanding of fusing & fabric requirements
WE SUPPLY YOU WITH:
- Detailed illustrated handouts to help support your learning including a documented work program of each step
- A fully cut & fused calico sampler, including lining, shoulder pads and sleeve heading.
- Samplers of each step to help you understand the sewing process * for use only in class, not to be taken home
