
A 5 hour studio session with dedicated industry leaders to help you adjust, remake and fit your patterns, toiles and finished garments.
This Three-hour open studio session allows you to spend time with industry professionals.
- Bring in your blocks and patterns. Bring garments or toiles.
- Ask questions, receive guidance on patternmaking and block changes in real time.
- Have your work checked and analyzed again before the session is finished.
- Show garments you have made, get advice on changes in pattern making, balance, seam allowance, grainlines, fusing options and sewing methods.
- Experience fitting a garment with a trained pattern maker
- Discuss construction and fabric ideas.
Course Content Includes:
- Pattern Analysis of your draft & Patterns
- Creating fit changes for your block or pattern
- Checking drafts against patterns for accuracy
- Toile checks- adjusting your block or pattern toile IRL with your lecturer
- Transferring changes to your pattern
- Discussing why and how the changes work
- Overall corrections and explanations of next steps and easy to follow instructions
We provide you with:
- Pattern making paper for class exercises
- Long rulers to use during class time
- Dedicated studio space for the whole time
- Access to sewing machines if needed.

Please bring with you, if you have them:
Thread clippers, paper and/or fabric scissors, pens, pencils, eraser, notebook, small ruler, pins, tape measure.
