This course is suited to those who are beginning their pattern making journey, normally work with commercial patterns and want to know how to make them better and also for those wishing to do a good refresher on the bodice and it's design potential.

Many fashion students and small fashion businesses find this one of the most beneficial courses we do! It enables you to create any style you can conceive with the expert knowledge you will obtain from this course.

This course has been created to explore creating bodice patterns, techniques such as dart manipulation, princess lines and adding fullness for a great fit to your patterns. This is a wonderful program for those wanting to advance their pattern making and sewing knowledge.

During the 3 lesson course you will learn to draft patterns that include working with the bodice block to achieve a great fit and balance. Princess lines, dart manipulation techniques, sleeve variations, neck lines and adding fullness. 

Course content can include:

• Understanding pattern making terminology, what is the bodice block.
• Techniques to create design through dart manipulation
• The neckline, design variations, how to use the block to do this
• The princess line, armscye and design line techniques 
• using gathering around the bodice to create fullness
• Sleeve variations and options
