Our classes are carefully designed to cater to all levels of experience, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine existing skills. We genuinely pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone feels comfortable learning and growing.
To ensure that each student receives the guidance they need, we intentionally keep our class sizes small. This allows us to provide personalized attention and tailored instruction, helping you progress at your own pace.
Ultimately, our goal is to help you elevate your patternmaking and sewing skills, regardless of your current starting point.
Some of our classes will come under one of these two areas:
Beginner to Intermediate
These classes are perfect for those who have some basic to intermediate sewing experience but are new to pattern making. It's ideal for home sewers, fashion startups, and students who want to develop their pattern-making skills.
Intermediate to Advanced
These classes are tailored for individuals with an intermediate to advanced understanding of sewing and who are comfortable working with commercial or industry patterns. It's a great fit for skilled home sewers, fashion designers, students, and industry professionals. Perfect for Professional development and those in industry wishing to upskill of refresh their skills.
Our Covid Safe Guidelines
Your safety is very important to us. We are adhering to government regulations and ask that you check in on arrival, wear a mask unless eating or drinking and voluntarily show your vaccination certificate. Our class sizes are small to ensure we’re able to give you maximum space for your own comfort and peace of mind. Strict hygiene measures will be maintained, all our staff are fully vaccinated and conduct regular rapid antigen testing. We will be adhering to any further restrictions that are in place at the time of your booking.

The Pattern Making Class Headquarters is professional educational pattern & sewing studio in North Melbourne, only 4 kilometres from the CBD.
We are also thrilled to announce an incredible partnership with LCI Melbourne in Oxford St, Collingwood.
When we are not teaching, we are busy making patterns for our wholesale fashion clients.
The space will afford you plenty of space to draft and cut out your patterns. We keep class sizes small so everyone gets attention and has room to be creative.
You will be learning in an established business environment, affording you the opportunity to see how it all works.
We will provide you with key essentials such as large drafting tables, industry quality large scale pattern making paper and cardboard blocks relevant to the course you choose. The specific block(s) used in each course are for you to take home.
